iLab US iLab U.S. Server - Firewall Reboot

On Sunday June 20th, 2021 at 10:00 AM (EST), Agilent Site Reliability Engineers and Network Service Provider will perform a firewall reboot, impacting the following nodes in the iLab US server:

  • iLab General US instance
  • iLab DFCI instance
  • iLab Stanford Instance

Maintenance is planned for 2 hours and during this time, no more than 10 minutes of downtime is expected.

[Sunday June 20th, 1:00 PM (EST)] - Maintenance complete and sites are operational.

iLab U.S. Server Migration

On Friday June 18th, 2021 at 9:00 PM (EST), Agilent Site Reliability Engineers will be migrating the following server nodes onto the Agilent Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure.

  • iLab Primary US instance
  • iLab DFCI instance
  • iLab Catalog Database instance

This migration will improve performance across the US sites and increase efficiency, as well as be more secure than the previous instance. Migration is expected for 8 hours, and during this time, iLab sites on the US server will be unavailable.

[Friday June 18th; 9:05 PM (EST)] - Migration process has begun and iLab services on US server instance are now unavailable .

[Friday June 18th; 9:09 PM (EST)] - Agilent Engineers have stopped the web and job services.

[Friday June 18th; 9:30 PM (EST)] - Backup and restore on servers has begun.

[Friday June 18th; 10:37 PM (EST)] - Restore complete. API deploy has started.

[Friday June 18th; 11:18 PM (EST)] - Services for iLab Primary US sites are available. Catalog Database features are still unavailable.

[Friday June 18th; 11:20 PM (EST)] - Migration on Catalog Database has started.

[Saturday June 19th; 12:11 AM (EST)] - Services restarted on Catalog Database instance and migration complete.

[Saturday June 19th; 12:14 AM (EST)] - Migration on DFCI instance has started.

[Saturday June 19th; 12:17 AM (EST)] - Backup on DFCI instance has started.

[Saturday June 19th; 12:34 AM (EST)] - Backup on DFCI instance complete.

[Saturday June 19th; 12:49 AM (EST)] - Migration complete on DFCI instance and site is available.

[Saturday June 19th; 1:10 AM (EST)] - Migration complete, and all sites operational.

iLab US iLab U.S. Server - General Maintenance

On Saturday June 12th, 2021 at 2 AM (EST), Agilent Site Reliability Engineers and Network Service Provider will be performing routine maintenance on the following nodes in the U.S. server:

  • Primary U.S. Main instance
  • DFCI instance
  • iLab US API instance
  • iLab US Kiosk instance
  • Catalog Database instance

Maintenance is planned for 3 hours and during this time, no more than 10 minutes of downtime is expected.

[Saturday June 12th; 4:00 AM (EST)] - Maintenance complete and all sites operational.

DCX Server Maintenance - Multiple Instances

Agilent Site Reliability Engineers and Network Engineers will be making updates on the DCX environment hosting the following Agilent databases, at the following times:

Saturday June 12th at 12 AM (UTC)

  • iLab Europe

Saturday June 12th at 7 AM (UTC)

  • iLab Canada
  • iLab Stanford instance
  • iLab Status Page instance
  • iLab Content Management instance
  • iLab ERP Integration File instance
  • Agilent CrossLab Connect Portal

Each maintenance is planned for 2 hours and during this time, some content and sites may not be available. iLab content can include image logos, images in descriptions, linked documents and status site.

[Saturday June 12th; 11:10 AM (UTC)] - All maintenances have been completed and sites are operational.
