Server Maintenance - Multiple Instances

On Saturday October 10th, 2020 at 3 AM (U.S. EST), Agilent Site Reliability Engineers and Network Engineers will be making updates on the server hosting the following iLab databases:

  • Stanford instance
  • Status Page instance
  • Content Management instance
  • ERP File instance

Maintenance is planned for 2 hours and during this time, some content and sites may not be available. Content can include image logos, images in descriptions, linked documents and status site.

[Saturday October 3rd, 2020; 3:10 AM (U.S. EST)] - Agilent Site Reliability Engineers have isolated the issue are working with Network Service Provider to resolve the issue.

[Saturday October 3rd, 2020; 4:15 AM (U.S. EST)] - Agilent Site Reliability Engineers and Network Service Provide have resolved the issue. All sites are operational.

iLab U.S. Performance Issues

[Thursday September 24th, 2020; 12:10 PM (U.S EST)] - Agilent Site Reliability Engineers and R&D have found issue on the U.S. server instance that is causing slowness across all iLab sites. There may be some instability and inaccessibility to site, at times.

[Thursday September 24th, 2020; 12:30 PM (U.S. EST)] - Site should be accessible, however, general slowness may be present. Agilent Engineers are working with Network Service Provider on root cause.

[Thursday September 24th, 2020; 2:30 PM (U.S. EST)] - Server is more stable now and all sites remain operational.

ERP Server Migration - All Sites

On Sunday September 20th, 2020 at 8 AM (U.S. EST), Agilent Site Reliability Engineers will be migrating the ERP server instance onto Amazon Web Services, which will increase efficiency and be more secure. This will affect all iLab sites and institutions utilizing the financial integration feature on iLab. Migration is expected for 2 hours, with approximately 30 minutes of downtime at the start of the migration.

Please note: There should be minimal impact on operations for customers that use our servers for file transfers, however, you will need to confirm your firewall access. If you do not use iLab servers for file transfers you will not be impacted.

[Sunday September 20th; 8:05 AM (U.S. EST)] - Agilent Site Reliability Engineers have begun process to migrate servers. Some downtime will be present in the first 30 minutes.

[Sunday September 20th; 9:15 AM (U.S. EST)] - Maintenance in progress. Agilent Site Reliability Engineers monitoring.

[Sunday September 20th, 9:55 AM (U.S. EST)] - Maintenance completed. ERP servers now switched to new IP address. Agilent Engineers monitoring stability. Sites are operational.
