iLab US iLab U.S. Server - General Maintenance

On Saturday August 29th, 2020 at 2 AM (U.S. EST), Agilent Site Reliability Engineers and Network Service Provider will be performing routine maintenance on the following nodes in the U.S. server:

  • Primary U.S. instance
  • DFCI instance
  • Catalog Database instance

Maintenance is planned for 3 hours and during this time, no more than 10 minutes of downtime is expected.

On Friday August 28th, 2020 at 10 PM (U.S. EST), Agilent Site Reliability Engineers and Network Service Provider will be increasing the root disk space on 4 nodes, within the iLab U.S. Server.

Maintenance is planned for 30 minutes and during this time, no more than 10 minutes of downtime is expected.

On Saturday August 22nd, 2020 at 2 AM (U.S. EST), Agilent Site Reliability Engineers will be patching the server environments below:

  • iLab Stanford

  • iLab Australia

Patching will be 1 hour and during this time, no downtime is expected. There may be some latency on the sites, for about 5 minutes.

iLab US iLab General U.S. Performance Issues

[Monday August 10th, 2020; 2:35 PM (U.S. EST)] - iLab U.S. server experiencing issues within an instance that may cause sites on this server to not be reachable. Does not include Stanford site.

[Monday August 10th, 2020; 2:40 PM (U.S. EST)] - Agilent Site Reliability Engineers have begun investigation and are working to resolve as soon as possible.

[Monday August 10th, 2020; 3:03 PM (U.S. EST)] - Agilent Engineers have found the issue, with Network provider and site operation have begun returning to normal levels. Engineers will continue to monitor servers.

iLab US iLab General Maintenance - Multiple Servers

On Saturday August 8th, 2020 at 12 AM (U.S. PST), Agilent Site Reliability Engineers and Network Engineers will be doing maintenance on the > DCX environment, affecting the following server instances:

  • iLab Status Site
  • iLab Image Controller

Maintenance is planned for 2 hours and during this time, intermittent connectivity loss is expected, when accessing the iLab status site, iLab Stanford site and images used across all iLab sites.

iLab US iLab General U.S. Performance Issues

[Wednesday August 5th, 2020; 6:00 PM (U.S. EST)] - iLab sites, not including DFCI and Stanford, are experiencing higher queue loads on the server and users may not be able to complete certain transactions.

[Wednesday August 5th, 2020; 6:12 PM (U.S. EST)] - Agilent Site Reliability Engineers have found the issue and are working to resolve.

[Wednesday August 5th, 2020; 6:40 PM (U.S. EST)] - Agilent Site Reliability Engineers have restarted the server instance that was having back-ups and error rates are dropping.

[Wednesday August 5th, 2020; 6:55 PM (U.S. EST)] - Issue has been resolved and application should be stable now. Agilent Engineers are continuing to monitor.

[Wednesday August 5th, 2020; 7:45 PM (U.S. EST)] - Some issues still persist, where users are unable to perform certain tasks. Agilent Engineers are investigating.

[Wednesday August 5th, 2020; 8:06 PM (U.S. EST)] - Agilent Engineers have found the issue and have cleared them, as well as restarted the instance having the issues.

[Wednesday August 5th, 2020; 8:15 PM (U.S. EST)] - Issue should be resolved and Agilent Engineers are monitoring.
