iLab Content Management and Agilent Status Page Upgrade Maintenance

On Saturday May 4th, 2024 at 4:30 AM (UTC), upgrade maintenance has been scheduled for the following iLab server instances:

  • Agilent Status Page
  • iLab Content Management

Maintenance is planned for 2 hours and during this time, please take note that user will be experiencing server downtime of no more than 10 minutes. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience that may be caused.

iLab US System unavailable

[8:30 AM EST] - Major service disruption for North America, investigating.

[8:45 AM EST] - Team has identified a networking interruption in the primary data center in Dallas, TX. Investigating further.

[9:00 AM EST] - Believe the issue is with an update that was applied to a gateway appliance device, investigating further and rollback possibilities.

[9:15 AM EST] - Still working through our networking gateway appliance and looking for alternative ways to route network traffic.

[9:21 AM EST] - Resolved, more information to be posted here in the next few days.

iLab US Network file storage connectivity issues causing scheduled billing files to not be sent

At approximately 11:00 pm ET, the iLab service experienced intermittent connectivity issues with our network filed storage system which may have caused your institutions nightly file processing to be interrupted. This was an extremely rare occurrence as we have two services in place that regularly monitor the health of this important network connection and unfortunately, both services failed last night and we didn’t get a full failure alert until this morning. No data was lost and any billing files that were scheduled to send last night (October 4th to 5th morning) will be sent today (October 5th night to 6th morning) at their scheduled time.

To mitigate this kind of occurrence in the future, we’re looking at implementing a 3rd monitoring service/health check to ensure a more timely resolution on this.

iLab invoices may not be visible

[12:00 PM EST / Sep 14] iLab is investigating some reports that some individuals cannot see their lists of invoices. This is considered the highest priority and our emergency site reliability engineering team is now investigating this issue. We will post updates in this banner as we learn more. Sorry for any inconvenience.

[05:00 PM EST/ Sep 14] All invoices created over the last 6 months are displaying in iLab now. Invoices created prior to 6 months will be available tonight and more information as to what happened will be published in the next several days.
